Context

Most festival apps try to do everything. Visitors usually need something much simpler: discover who is playing, decide what not to miss and keep their plan close throughout the day. That seemingly simple task is often buried inside a heavy download, a cluttered programme or a generic event platform. Stoog turns it into a focused, installable web experience that feels native to each festival rather than bolted on to it.

The shift

We did not try to replace every festival system. We focused on the moment that matters most to visitors: finding a set worth seeing, saving it and knowing where to go next. The product combines artist discovery before the festival with a fast, personal timetable on site. It stays deliberately light, avoids unnecessary background activity and keeps the essential programme available when signal becomes less reliable.

What we made

  • A clear product proposition built around discovery, planning and battery-conscious use
  • A reusable, installable web app that needs no App Store download or visitor account
  • Festival-specific brand experiences rather than one generic event interface
  • Artist cards with concise context, genres, YouTube previews and Spotify listening links where available
  • A personal timetable, stage filters and a simple Now Playing view for fast decisions on site
  • An offline-ready programme and saved schedule for moments when connectivity is less dependable

The first live edition, for Sjock Festival, was used by more than 5,000 visitors. The same adaptable product model has since been explored across rock, world music and electronic festival formats.
